Pooja & Homam

The daily prayers and Surya Namaskaras are conducted early in the morning between 5.30 to 6.30am by yoginees and the students. The daily poojas are performed  both in the morning  and evening.  On Fridays special poojas are conducted between ten and twelve thirty in the morning and six to seven thirty in the evening. Daily pooja is performed at noon between 11.00am to 12.30pm and the evening poojas are done between 6.15pm to 7.30pm. Yoga is done in the evening.  Bhajans are sung while worshipping. On full moon days the pooja begins at 8 in the morning and ends by 5 in the evening. During Navarathri, the pooja begins with Navachandi Homa and special poojas are conducted on other days. Sri Lalitha Saharanama Lakshaarchana is performed on the 8th day of Navarathri followed by Saraswathi pooja and Kolattam dance by girls on the 9th day. Sri Lalitha Yagam is done on Vijayadasami, the 10th day by the virgin yoginess.

Gho-Pooja:

  • Gho Pooja means worshipping Goddess Kamadhenu
  • Gho pooja is a ritual of worshipping Gho:ma:tha (cow) along with her calf. Gho-pooja fulfills the wishes and removes hardships of the devotee who performs it.
  • The Gho-pooja is performed on all days in the morning by Yoginee’s around 06:30 AM
